Highly unlikely

People always tend to complain about living in Sudan for so many reasons; the heat, the dirt, the fact that it is a developing country. Today I choose to complain for a different reason… One of the worst aspects of Sudan for me is all the homeless people, the beggars, the handicapped children. It completely breaks my heart and makes me feel so helpless. I wish there was something I could do to make all their problems go away and I know it’s unreasonable but I feel that my efforts to make their lives a little better by being nice to them and smiling at them and offering them money whenever I can are so worthless and negligible. Another thing that makes me really sad is how indifferent the people here have become towards the tangible poverty and need. May God soften our hearts and strengthen theirs.
